SALINAS, CA, April 12, 2013 – Taylor Farms is the Presenting Sponsor of the Colmo del Rodeo Parade to be held Saturday July 13, 2013 in Old Town Salinas. The Colmo Parade was once the largest night lighted parade west of the Mississippi and the California Rodeo brought back the much loved parade in 2010 as part of the 100 year anniversary of the Rodeo. The parade now helps to kick of ‘Big Week’ festivities that take place during the week of the Rodeo. The Kiddie Kapers Parade, presented by The Salinas Californian, starts at 6:30pm and precedes the Colmo del Rodeo Parade which starts at 8pm. It will be a great night for families to enjoy both parades and get into the Rodeo spirit.
Anyone is welcome to enter the parade; entries just need to have lights on them. A free float building workshop will be held on Wednesday May 1st from 6-8:30pm in the Rodeo Room at the Salinas Sports Complex at 1034 North Main Street in Salinas.
