The opening performance of the 105th
California Rodeo Salinas was colorful and entertaining! Cowboys, cowgirls and
rodeo fans donned pink to show their support for Wrangler’s Tough Enough to
Wear Pink (TETWP) night presented by Rabobank and $1 from each ticket sold
tonight will be donated to the cause. 9,938 people attended and watched the
Rodeo and track action. Attendance was
up 948 tickets and 10.6% over the Thursday performance in 2014.
Under the direction of Henry Dill, the Track was
full of highlights as Taylor Howell from Sonora, California was crowned Miss
California Rodeo Salinas 2015 and rodeo fans were treated to another exciting performance
of Cowboy Kenny’s Steel Rodeo Tour as they completed high flying aerial stunts.
Other highlights included the McMillan Family Trick Riders, the popular
freestyle bullfights and fireworks. Professional rodeo cowboys kept spectators
