SALINAS, CA, July 2, 2013 –Several businesses in Salinas are already sporting western scenes on their windows and announcing that Big Week is coming. The California Rodeo is only 16 days away and Big Week officially kicks off on Friday July 12^th. The Rodeo is happy to announce our Window Decorating Contest-keep those paintings and window scenes coming. We want to recognize those who get into the spirit by decorating their windows and storefronts with a chance to win Rodeo tickets.

Participating businesses can simply post a photo of your window to the California Rodeo’s Facebook page. The photo with the most ‘likes’ wins. The winner of the contest will be announced on Monday July 15^th via a press release online at www.carodeo.com and on the Rodeo’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/CARodeoSalinas. The winner will receive 4 tickets to the first night of the Rodeo Thursday July 18^th.

Big Week is the term locals use to refer to Rodeo week in Salinas; there are so many activities going on, it is a big week indeed. There is a carnival, poetry, parades and much more. Be sure to check out the schedule for the entire week at http://www.carodeo.com/events.aspx.
