Night two of the California Rodeo Salinas brought a crowd of 14,852 out to the Salinas Sports Complex, an increase of 8.5% over 2016. The evening featured giant mascots from local produce companies running on the track with Taylor Farms’ Choppy winning the race. Second place went to Tanimura & Antle’s Captain T & A and third place went to Pacific International Marketing’s Buster Broccoli. In the arena, Kyle Whitaker is leading the first round of the Steer Wrestling with a time of 6.8 seconds, Kaycee Feild is still leading the first round of the Bareback Riding with a score of 84 points from last night, Wes Goodrich and Brent Lockett won the second round of the Team Roping with a time of 8.1 seconds, Brody Cress leads the first round of Saddle Bronc Riding with an 82, the Bull Riding is tied with Trey Benton III and Koby Radly both scoring 86 points and Ace Sloane is leading the average in the Tie Down Roping with 22.1 seconds on two. On the track, the average winner in the Women’s Barrel Racing is Jana Bean with a time of 32.62 seconds on two runs.
