Wrangler Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night drew over 9,904 people to the Salinas Sports Complex for the first performance of the 109th California Rodeo Salinas up 140 tickets over 2018.
Thursday night, presented by Rabobank, was full of fans in their pink shirts and cowboys hats cheering on the cowboys and cowgirls and helping their community at the same time. $1 from each ticket sold tonight will be donated to the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System.
Highlights included Kelsee French of Hollister earning the title of Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2019. Ryder Wright, 2017 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association World Champion and current #1 in the World, is leading the Saddle Bronc Riding. In the Bull Riding, Professional Bull Riding superstar, ranked number three in the world, Chase Outlaw is in first place.
