SALINAS, CA, August 5, 2013 – Gold
Star Buick GMC presents the 4th annual Central Coast Motorsports
Spectacular this Sunday August 11th. Motocross Jumpers will fly
through the air, Monster Trucks will race in figure 8 patterns and the Truck
and Tractor Pulls will entertain the crowd at the Salinas Sports Complex
starting at 2pm. Gates open at noon and Monster Truck drivers will be available
for autographs from 12:30 to 1:30pm before the show starts. This event is
family friendly, but bring your ear plugs so the kids can enjoy the roaring
engines. Food will be available for purchase on the midway if you want to come
early for lunch.
There are a couple ways that you and your
family can get the full Monster Truck and motorsports experience; children and
adults alike can pay to ride on one of the Monster Trucks for just $5 per
person on Saturday August 10th from 2pm to 5pm and on Sunday August
11th from 12pm until the show ends. Monster Trucks will be on
display on the lawn in front of the Salinas Sports Complex starting Wednesday
August 7th and available for the public to take photos and get an up
close view of the larger than life vehicles at no charge.
Tickets are
available weekdays from 10am to 6pm at the Salinas Sports Complex Box Office at
1034 N. Main Street in Salinas. Ticket prices are $10 for children ages 2-12,

Coors is
sponsoring the Monster Truck event with Monster Trucks competing in the arena
full of crushed cars, dirt ramps and figure 8 patterns; Obsessed, Patriot,
Tropical Thunder, Big Kahuna, Nitro Hornet, and King Krunch will be here. The
Motocross Jumpers, sponsored by Drew-Massa Transportation, will take jumps off
of ramps that are over ten feet tall and fly at least 90 feet through the air
hitting tricks before they land their jumps. New this year, the Truck and
Tractor Pulls sponsored by the Laurel Inn Motel & Conference Center will feature
different classes of trucks and tractors showcasing their horsepower as they
pull a two ton sled across the dirt floor. Other sponsors include Always Towing
& Recovery, Central Coast Sign Factory, Don Chapin Company, Jenkinson
Construction, Neponset Ag, Quinn Rentals, RDO Equipment Co., Star Sanitation
and Waste Management.
