The California Rodeo Salinas is hosting the first annual Fall Round Up Festival October 13th-16th at the Salinas Sports Complex. The event is presented by Brent Eastman Insurance Services, Inc. and will feature a carnival, food trucks, merchandise vendors, music, a pumpkin patch, a western performer, children’s activities and more. Admission tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 2-12. Tickets are on sale online only at https://www.carodeo.com/events/2022/fall-round-up. The Ticket Office will open at 4pm on Thursday, October 13th for walk-up sales.
The main attraction will be the carnival, sponsored by JoyPer’s Shoes & Clothing, featuring seven rides for teens/older children and seven “kiddie” rides for younger children. Unlimited ride wristbands are available for $30 + fees until October 12th. The price increases to $40 + fees on October 13th. Purchase online through October 12th and at the Ticket Office starting at 4pm on October 13th. Individual ride tickets will be available for purchase at the carnival.
The entertainment available at the Kids’ Activity Area sponsored by Black Bear Diner is included with admission and includes face painting, inflatables, bubble blowing contests and other entertainment for children. Music is also included with admission; the music lineup includes a DJ on Thursday, October 13th, The Money Band on Friday, October 14th, The Edge Band on Saturday, October 15th and Samz School of Music on Sunday, October 16th. Western performer Will Roberts, who you may have seen at the California Rodeo in recent years, will be performing rope tricks, running fun contests and more on Saturday, October 15th and Sunday, October 16th from 12pm to 6pm. The Entertainment Stage/Area is sponsored by Salinas School of Dance. There will also be an area in the Rodeo Room under the main grandstands (at the south end) where children can paint with Progress Not Perfection paint company for $15 on Saturday, October 15th and Sunday, October 16th from 12-6pm.
Ten food vendors will be on site offering corn dogs, barbecue, baked potatoes, shaved ice, and more. Twenty-eight shopping vendors will be in the mall area underneath the west grandstands. Get a complete list of vendors and times for the music lineup at carodeo.com.
Pumpkins will be available for purchase at the pumpkin patch at the south end of the midway, sponsored by Carlon’s Fire & Safety, Inc. The Pumpkin Shuttle Vehicle Sponsor is MyCars.com; the shuttle will take purchased pumpkins from the pumpkin patch at the south end of the complex to the parking lot at the north end of the complex.
