Temecula’s Vianette Garcia has been named Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2024. The competition, held over the past two days at the Salinas Sports Complex, saw five contestants vying for the title: Kyndal Castle (Miss Folsom Pro Rodeo), Summer Fanning (Miss Old Santa Ynez Days Rodeo), Vianette Garcia (Miss Rodeo Norco Horseweek), Lillian Kier (Miss Clovis Rodeo), and Kate Richardson (Miss Bulls Only Rodeo). Lillian Kier was named 1st runner-up, and Kate Richardson earned second runner-up honors.
Contestants were evaluated in categories including personality, appearance, scholarship, and horsemanship. Garcia excelled in personality and horsemanship, while Kier won the appearance and scholarship categories. Kier also received the congeniality award, voted on by her fellow contestants.
As Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2024, Vianette Garcia, received a $3,000 educational scholarship, a gold and silver belt buckle, a gold and silver tiara sponsored by the Harden Foundation, the use of a two-horse trailer for the next year, along with other gifts and awards. Throughout the year, Garcia will serve as an ambassador for the California Rodeo Salinas and the Western lifestyle, attending events including rodeos, parades, and community celebrations across California.
