The California Rodeo Salinas has hosted a
cowboy poetry event that kicks off the Big Week celebration for 27 years.
Attendees will experience an afternoon full of wine tasting, barbecue, cowboy
poetry, music and more. This year the gathering will feature Western Music
Association Entertainer of the Year, Male Performer of the Year and Songwriter
of the Year, Dave Stamey. Western artists Ed Montana, Jim and Karen Ross will
also perform. Our very own Clem Albertoni will act as Master of Ceremonies.
Clem is a local legend and entertaining cowboy poet from Soledad,
California.
The Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering will be held at Sherwood Hall at 940 N.
Main Street in Salinas on Sunday July 13th. Doors open at 1:00pm for
the barbecue and wine tasting. Open mic starts at 1:45pm and the show starts at
2:30pm. Tickets for the event are on sale now at the Salinas Sports Complex Box
