Tough Enough to Wear Pink provides a nationally-recognized campaign and framework for rodeos and western events to help them promote breast cancer awareness and fundraising to benefit their local communities. 2014 marks the ten year anniversary of this successful program that has raised more than $12 million for breast cancer charities. The California Rodeo Salinas began participating in the Wrangler Tough Enough to Wear Pink Campaign in 2005 and has donated over $45,000 to local breast cancer charities since then. Cowboys and spectators wear pink shirts to our Tough Enough to Wear Pink performance during the Rodeo each year and breast cancer survivors are featured in the grand entry festivities that night. $1 from every ticket sold on TETWP night is also donated to our charity of choice, the Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System’s Nancy Ausonio Mammography Center. For more information about TETWP visit http://www.toughenoughtowearpink.com/about/
